UAB

UAB is one of America's premier research universities, ranking among the top 20 in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and earning more than $470 million per year in contract and grant support. UAB is comprised of 13 academic schools in the health sciences and academic areas.

Miles College

Miles College is a minority-serving, liberal arts institution located 10 miles southwest of UAB in Fairfield, AL. Miles College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Commission on Colleges for the award of Baccalaureate Degree, the Alabama State Department of Education, and the Council of Social Work Education; it is also a member of the United Negro College Fund. It offers Bachelor Degree programs in six academic divisions, including Natural Sciences and Mathematics, to an enrollment of more than 1,700 students.

Stillman College

Located less than an hour's drive (52 miles) southwest of UAB in Tuscaloosa, AL, Stillman College is a minority-serving, liberal arts institution founded in 1876. Its average enrollment is 1200 students with more than 75 percent of the student body originating from the US Southeast, and just over 1 percent from foreign countries. Stillman College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and the Schools to award the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees.
