Miles College is a minority-serving, liberal arts institution located 10 miles southwest of UAB in Fairfield, AL. Miles College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Commission on Colleges for the award of Baccalaureate Degree, the Alabama State Department of Education, and the Council of Social Work Education; it is also a member of the United Negro College Fund. Its average enrollment is 1200 students with more than 75 percent of the student body originating from the US Southeast, and just over 1 percent from foreign countries. Stillman College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and the Schools to award the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees.
